Levelized Billing takes the surprise out of electric bills.
How would you like to level out your electric bills by paying nearly the same amount each month? If your household is like mine, your electric costs fluctuate with the seasons. And, generally, your bills are higher during the winter and summer months.
Levelized Billing makes it much easier to balance your budget because this program helps even out the peaks and valleys of energy use. Each month your bill is an average of your electric bills over the last 12 months.
Most residential members with good credit history are eligible for this program.
Levelized Billing consists of eleven (11) equal payments and one (1) adjustment payment per year. The amount of the twelfth (12th) payment being adjusted according to the meter reading secured by New-Mac Electric Cooperative at the end of the one (1) year period. Should an over-payment be made, a credit will be made to the consumer's account. Should an under-payment occur, the consumer will be billed accordingly.
Levelized payments will be based on consumers anticipated usage and applied to the rate proposed for the next twelve (12) month period.
